PhilDHRRA-PyD Convenio Culminates With Positive OutlookThe PhilDHRRA-Paz y Desarrollo Convenio, which was funded by Agencia Espanola de Cooperacion Internacional para el Desarrollo (AECID), culminated on June 30, 2011, after two years of hard work. The Convenio was entitled, “Strengthening the Productive Sector in the Rural Areas and Improving Sexual and Reproductive Health in the Regions of Caraga and Bicol (Reference No. 07-C01-034)”, and PhilDHRRA joined the Convenio on July 1, 2009. |

Convenio Holds PPLG TrainingPhilDHRRA conducted Parliamentary Procedure in Local Governance for Resolution & Ordinance Making training on August 9-112, 2011, in SB Session Hall of the Municipality of Kitcharao, Agusan del Norte. A total of 57 participants, from the six barangays covered by North Convenio namely: Barangays San Pablo & Motorpool of the Municipality of Tubod, Barangays Budlingin and Camp Edward of Alegria Municipality, SDN and Barangays Sangay & Isidro of Kitcharao Municipality of AND, attended the training. |

Para-Techs Learn Livestock Management / DIFSA total of 78 para-technicians, 29 males and 49 females, from North Caraga Convenio, attended the Livestock and Poultry management training, held in the municipalities of Kitcharao, Agusan del Norte and Alegria and Tubod, in the province of Surigao del Norte. The participants were the para-technicians from the barangays of San Isidro, Sangay, Budlingin, Camp Edward, San Pablo and Motorpool. |

Convenio Provides Livelihood SupportConvenio 07-Co1-031 through PhilDHRRA, its NGO partner implementer, provided livelihood support to 90 beneficiaries in the barangays of San Isidro in Kitcharao, Agusan del Norte, Budlingin, Camp Edward in Alegria, and San Pablo in Tubod, Surigao del Norte. A total of 64 beneficiaries have availed of production inputs and another 26 received cash support for revolving fund under the Productivity Systems Development (PSD) component. Of the beneficiaries, 85 of the 90 are women. |
