At 10 years old, Queenie P. Luminario’s loves watching television and reading. She is one of 43 scholars of Convenio, in Barangay Sangay, Kitcharao, Agusan del Norte. Queenie is a consistent honor student at the Jose Bermudez Elementary School where she is currently enrolled in Grade IV.

Queenie, is the second among five siblings; her mother, Juliet, a Daycare worker in Barangay Sangay; and, her father, a delivery tricycle driver. Her parent have always encourage her and her siblings to study hard and value education.

Sowing the Seeds Caring the Land Saving the Future


convenio1The PhilDHRRA-Mindanao Convenio 07-CO-1-031 with funding assistance from the Agencia Espanola Cooperación Internacíonal para el Desarollo (AECID), through Fundacion Intered, organized Basic Orientation on Sustainable Agriculture (BOSSA) training for the rice farmers of Villapaz Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative (VIFAMCO) operating in Villapaz, La Paz, Agusan del Sur. The training aims to enhance the knowledge, skills and practices of farmers on Sustainable Agriculture.  The BOSSA training was in response to the need expressed by the farmers during the conduct of Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) undertaken by the Convenio 07-CO-1-031 team, i.e., to enhance knowledge on Sustainable Agriculture. Footprints to Remember at Barangay Dughan


barangay-dughanThe Community Context Analysis was among the preliminary undertakings of the Convenio 07-CO-1-031, a Sustainable and Integrated Area Development (SIAD) intervention funded by Agencia Espanola Cooperación Internacíonal para el Desarollo (AECID), an international aid agency of the Spanish Government, through Fundacion Intered, a Spanish Non-Government Organization.  The undertaking led to the formulation of Barangay Dughan Profile, which involved a rigorous and an effort-sweating endeavor.  (more…)
