Reflections and Insights From the Field: “Footprints to Remember at Barangay Dughan”


Barangay Profile Validation in Brgy. Dughan, Barobo, SDSBarangay Dughan Profile formulation is a rigorous and an effort-sweating endeavour.  The fruitful results of the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), the Focus Group Discussions on Gender Gap Study outcomes, the Secondary Data from the Barangay and Municipal Records and My series of social interactions, immersions and consultations for the past six (6) months into the community inspired the PhilDHRRA–Convenio Project to consolidate the eventful Profile with the assistance of local leaders in the community.  The birth of the Profile has come into existence. CODE NGO Selects Project CARAGA MIS Among 2008 Best Practices


The Caucus of Development NGO Networks or CODE-NGO, an umbrella organization of 12 NGO networks in the Philippines, selected the Project Management Information System (PMIS) of Project Caraga as one of 2008’s Best Practices .

Mr. Paul Baang, Project Manager of Project Caraga made a brief presentation of the features of the PMIS on the occasion of the 2008 Annual General Assembly of CODE NGO held at the Institute of Social Order (ISO) at Ateneo de Manila University in Quezon City, Philippines on December 11, 2008. The presentation highlighted the strengths and potentials of the MIS in promoting transparency and accountability in NGO project implementation. (more…)
