2007 Accomplishment Highlights

The IPHC’s projects covered 13 municipalities across four regions: 11, 12, CARAGA and ARMM.

Community Managed Health Care

Forty six out of fifty four barangays under the IPHC’s programs are implementing HCF programs in thirteen project municipalities. Twenty seven out of those fifty four barangays have continuously allocated and released funds for health.

Families have been encouraged to practice and support sustainable agriculture, and more than half the families in the project municipalities are patronizing organic products. Almost the same number grow organic vegetables for their own consumption.

Kaanib Foundation, Incorporated


2007 Accomplishment Highlights

Through 2007 Kaanib Foundation, Inc. continued its program implementation in two municipalities of Bukidnon.

Mainstreaming Institutionalization Development of AGMIHICU Ancestral Domain Program

The project facilitated the organizing of seven self-help groups with livelihood support. A total of twelve activities and livelihood project proposals were approved and implemented. Infrastructure development was also undertaken with the help of the LGU. Livelihood enterprises were developed, such as food processing undertaken by women, rattan furniture making, wood craft and manual corn mill.

Kahayag Training Institute on Gender (KAHAYAG)


2007 Accomplishment Highlights

In March of 2007, Kahayag Foundation finalized a partnership with GTZ to implement the project, “Training Program for Gender Parity in Economics and Peacebuilding.”  In general, the project aimed to enable KATIG to systematize and mobilize its existing pool of resources into a training program on conflict transformation and poverty reduction which gender advocates who seek to build their capacities can avail of.

LEAF Foundation


2007 Accomplishment Highlights

In 2007, LEAF implemented projects with thematic areas on watershed management, wetlands management, and ARC and IP communities area management, with gender as a cross-cutting theme.  The said projects had a combination of the following components: forest reserve reforestation, agroforestry in buffer zone areas, agricultural and livestock technology, health and education.  Projects were implemented in partnership with communities, local organizations and local government units, line agencies and the academe and other research institutions.  Donor partners included CI-CEPF, AusAID-PACAP, DAR-InfRES, DAR/IFAD-NMCIREMP, DAR/JBIC-MinSSAD, PTFCF, IIRR/ACIAR-CATP, PhilDHRA/InteRed; and Association of Foundations and Lutheran World Relief for LEAF’s institutional capacity building, among others.
