PhilDHRRA Mindanao Sponsors 3rd Batch of Training on Microsoft Office Access


Nine (9) participants from 7 NGO/POs attended the Five-day training on Microsoft Office Access sponsored by PhilDHRRA-Mindanao Secretariat.

The training is the third of its kind organized and hosted by PhilDHRRA-Mindanao for its members and external partner-organizations and agencies.  It is part the network’s ICT capacity building program under the ICT for NGOs component, a prelude to the 2nd phase of the program focused on integrating ICTs for rural development initiatives.

Among the NGOs represented during the training were the Davao Medical School Foundation-Institute of Primary Health Care (DMSF-IPHC), Mahintana Foundation, Inc., Maguindanaon Development Foundation, Inc. (MDFI), Xavier Agricultural Extension Service (XAES), TriPARRD Federation of Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Cooperatives (TriFed)and Intercambio y Solidaridad (InteRed)-Butuan office.  The local government of San Francisco, Agusan del Sur also sent a representative from the Municipal Treasurer’s Office.

The participants received training on database designing and lay-outing through intensive knowledge inputs and practical exercises from November 10-14, 2008 given by the Project Management Office of PhilDHRRA’s Project Caraga.

The training utilized the Management Information System of Project Caraga in San Francisco, Agusan del Sur as training standard during the practical exercises.

Project Caraga , whose of official title is “Promocion del Tejido Social y Productivo para el Desarollo Integral de Comunidades Rurales en Caraga” (06-PRI-229), is a collaborative project of PhilDHRRA and InteRed with funding assistance from Agencia Española Cooperacion Internacional para el Desarollo (AECID).
